The canvas guy said, "If you take care of the canvass and spray it down once a year with 303 Fabric Guard it will last a long time."  Well one year is here and the sun finally came out.  We took advantage of the weather and stripped the boat down to begin the process.  I went through numerous small squirt bottles of the chemical and decided there has to be a better way.
Off to the friendly Do-It-Best store to track down a small insecticide sprayer.  Armed with the sprayer and 2 more gallons of spray I was back to the dock.  The sprayer really saved the day and made the task much easier than it started out to be.
I found when the sun went behind a cloud the chemical took forever to dry.  You will also want to make sure your over-spray doesn't create an oily slick on the water or another boat.  I ended up washing down the decks where I first started to project because it was extremely slippery.  When you get done with the sprayer make sure you wash it with soap and water and let it dry before putting it back or you may end up spending some time getting it operational again.
Next scheduled dose is just before we go into Mexico.  It is only 5 months from now but the job was so easy that I figured the extra UV protectorant can't hurt.
